Synergy introduces periodic billing

In our recent Synergy 4.8.5 release, we introduced periodic billing. This means clients subscribed to a Support, Update and Maintenance package (SUM) can now enjoy the benefit of spreading SUM payments across the year, with a choice of billing cycles.

Offering quarterly, bi-annual and annual payments by credit card, SUM clients can input payment details and choose their preferred billing cycle (in the Account section in Synergy Cloud Services). Clients will be notified by email in advance of the payment withdrawal.

Total Synergy CEO Scott Osborne said the option to spread payments across the year in smaller segments was a response to many clients’ requests, as well as being more reflective of how advanced software is delivered.

“I think most businesses like to spread payments of services across a year,” Scott said.

“In developing Synergy Cloud Services it has allowed us to add secure payment gateway technology that clients can manage simply from within the app.

“We’re using the same kind of gateway that many people will have encountered in day-to-day purchases online, so it’s simple, secure and familiar.”

The credit card payment and information is handled entirely by the payment gateway — card details are not held by Total Synergy but at a high-level facility.

To sign up for periodic payments, clients simply need to login to Synergy Cloud Services and head to the Accounts section.
